Your body has
a story to tell.

“The doors to the world of the wild Self are few but precious. If you have a deep scar, that is a door, if you have an old, old story, that is a door. If you love the sky and the water so much you almost cannot bear it, that is a door. If you yearn for a deeper life, a full life, a sane life, that is a door.”
— Clarissa Pinkola Estés, Women Who Run With the Wolves.

Our bodies are living myths. Every sensation we feel, every impulse that moves through us, is part of an unfolding story; one that we are living and writing as we go.
It’s easy to get lost in other people's mythologies, other people's stories. We inherit languages and narratives, the way stories get told and don't get told, and sometimes we forget that our own body has a story to tell.
There is something powerful that happens when we put words to the sensations and feelings of the body. When we track what we feel inside, the tightness, the heat, the softness, the stagnation, the aliveness, we nourish our capacity to listen inward, to know ourselves from the inside out.
The more fluent we become in this internal language, the more resourced we are to meet what arises.
This is a practice of reclamation. Of reconnecting the part of us that can narrate with the part of us that can instinctually and deeply feel.
Each week, we'll explore a different pair of forces that shape our embodied experience:
✤ Shock & Awe (Feb 2)
✤ Rage & Creativity (Feb 9)
✤ Collapse & Hope (Feb 16)
✤ Love & Grief (Feb 23)
We'll meet each week to ground and orient together, drop into guided somatic exploration, write from the body, and witness what emerges in small group shares. You're invited to bring your biggest questions, your deepest longings, your most confounding material.

Each week, we will also circle around these prompts to cast a wider net of reflection:
In addition to following these themes each week,
we will also circle back to these prompts to create a wider net of reflection.
What is the question that your life is trying to answer?
If there was a God, what would you want them to be like?
